3" NTT for $25-35?

I went to a few spots in the city today and found some NTT dats. One spot had 2 of 'em for $25 both very unstable and dark and lying on their sides but would swim away if the owner put his hand in the tank. Another store had one left for $35 stable, really nice gold base. But this guy literally did not move. It just sat there, even if I waved my hand it. Which would you guys get? I'm leaning towards spending the extra $10 on the stable one. Is it normal for small dats not to move like this? Or for unstable ones to be on their sides? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, yeah I'll ask to see them eat before I buy it. Everyone here keeps saying how NTT's are the most problematic juvies so I'm kinda scared :X. He'll be quaranteed in a 30G for a month with a ac110 filter.

Picked one up today from a new shipment actually woot! This one is actually a lot better, it was just stable as the one I saw yesterday except has a higher back and when I looked at the other one his mouth actually wasn't closing and was breathing pretty hard and we all know that's a bad sign. Got it for $30 bucks. Will post pics when he comes out of hiding.

Just one more post before I head out, I'm super happy and excited about this fish. My first dat and it's looking good so far. I'm happy to say it's 100% stable and has been since about 30 mins after I put him in his new tank. It's also 100% afraid of me but hopefully that will change
