I would say that he is not fully 3' yet, probably around 33 to 34" but my other aros look like babies after seeing this one.
Getting this guy out of tank was the hardest part. After several attemp at bagging him out (during our first attemp, he made a hole through a construction garbage bag that can hold 40g water!), we finally made it after guiding him to the surface and wrapping a towel around him to pick up. The only physical damage incurred during this move was few torn fins and bruised nose. It's too bad that this wasn't video documented.
He is still stressed out as I see from swimming with tail pointing downward and frequent resting at the bottom but it is recoverying steadily. He is 4 years old. The extra is a free pick up I received along with the aro. He is around 14". He is 4 years old. The original owner had him since 4" and raised it in 300g all along. I will post more pics of the fish in comparison with my hand. The size of his scales seen in person is stunning.
