Is this normal?
Here are some pics(sorry, I always take too many)
Came home one night and noticed them, she was doing a good job protecting them, chasing everone away, but not crazy aggressive, anyway, when I looked again in a coulpe hours later they were all gone.
I was tempted to go out and get her a MAN, but talked myself out of it.

They aren't going to be fertilized and hatched; it's not a very uncommon occurrence.

She will lay eggs alot in her life but if they are not fertilized they will not hatch. But if you get a male than you probably will have little baby fishes

Yes
They were right on the plastic cap for the undergravel filter tube.
She uncovered it to lay them. It has since ben covered up(not by me)
