Hello. My 3 year old arowana which i recently adopted developed bumps on his skin. How should I treat them? And whats causing it?

Agree with the others about water quality. Increase ur water changes to 50% weekly or twice a week depending on ur numbers. Are the bumps getting bigger?

Yes, they do. Will do water change first. Wiuld you suggest adding magnasalt woth the water change too?

Not magnesium sulfate or epsom salt. I’d add salt, sodium chloride. 1tsp per g. Iodized or noniodized will work. I’d try and ding triple sulfa, furan2 or maracyn2. Seen some aros with similar and ended up dying. Hope it works out.

Thank you!! I did 50% water change and added salt, and the bump was gone. Will still continue to monitor since he still has several small bumps.
Nitrate went down to 40. Should I still continue with the 50% water change. We normally WC 2x a week at 20%
