I made these plans in hope to come up with a great idea for a diy water garden.

The only thing that I don't know how I would make it the wall. What i'm thinking of doing is setting down some concrete, putting the tubes for the power heads in and stick the rocks in the concrete. Would that work? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
btw I plan to stock it with a painted turtle and some fish, not sure what type though, maybe koi sordtail

that seems like it would be extremely heavy and unstable with out re-bar inside the concrete . you could look into those fake rock walls that they but on houses , they look real and dont way a ton .

is there any way that I could make it out of resin or any type of plaster

actually, I could make a metal armature and cover it with paper mache' and paint it to look real

I think your best bet is a few 1x2s for a frame and then fiberglass resin and fiberglass mat and make sure to shingle ( overlapping and starting at the bottom and working your way up) your rocks good so you dont have to rely on your glass work as much

here is the structure of the rocks

now here is it covered in 10 layers of paper mache

now I have to cover it 2 coats of paper towel to make it smooth, coat it in 2 coats of primer, paint it and coat in 3 coats of poly pluss alot more.

here is the new final project, but there wiil be a few ferns and other plants in the plant bed and ivy on the lattice and the pond will actually be 60 gallons
