i wanna do a little fowlr tank.. as the lights are way more then i wanna spend for a reef tank...
could i just fill it with rock... and have a few powerheads ... or i would need a w.d??

Couple powerheads would work fine. A wet/dry would of course be better, but for a 30g fowlr you should be alright.

Get a hang on skimmer too.
