As the title states I have a 30 g w / 1, 7 '' gold sevrum. I was thinking of putting a couple corydoras in there as the clean up crew?? also would it be possible for any dither type fish to coinhabit the tank w/ the sev?? suggestions welcome and appreciated.....

So yours is all alone in the 55G??.... do you think a couple corys would be allright just to help out cleaning the leaftover food etc...or do you think they will be harassed??... I have no prob having him all alone as he was bought to be a centerpice fish.....and i did do a lot of reasearch and all roads let to 30g = good for 1 sev..., thank for the input chad..
30gal is simply too small for a full grown Severum. Are you aware that they reach up to 12" full grown? I would never keep a Sev in anything less than a 55gal, and as chad already said, certainly not with tankmates in an already too-small tank.

Unless the fish is really shy, I don't see the point in dither fish. I thought they were to reduce aggression or to bring out shy fish. So if you are keeping a solitary specimen what's the point?
