30 gal stock suggestions v.newbie

I ended up buying a 28gal set-up yesterday and have 5 pineapple swords cycling the tank(impulse buy) and i have no clue how i'm going to stock the rest of the tank. This is my first real tank so easy to manage suggestions would be ideal. I'm going to do live plants too and have no clue which ones to select as well. Any help is much appreciated.

You could get 8 werneri rainbows, 8 corydoras adolfi, 1 half banded spiny eel and 6 hatchets. This is a good set-up as all the fish are peaceful, active and eay to keep.

Well you may not like the eel but 2 kuhli loaches could be added instead.

I'd go with some easier plants, jave fern and stuff like that, and a pair of small easy cichlids along with a school of tetras

yeah this is sorta what i was thinking but i thought i'd get more creative ideas from here before i make up my mind.

Blue Rams, Planted. and some other dawarf cichlids

I'd stay away from blue rams, they tend to come in to most shops very stressed out, and are more delicate than some other species, like kribs, which are much more hardy

Cockatoo dwarf cichlids would work if you went away from my option...
