30 gal tall. .. What to put in it?

I am looking for a colorful, easy to breed fish that would be happy in a 30 gal tall.

Any suggestions? I do want it to be freshwater, my saltwater days are long over with.

I have dwarf gouramis. I've read about their breeding and it sounds cool. I have too many other fish and things going on to breed those in my tank (20g) but you could probably research them a bit and see if you can do it. They are very pretty colored fish.

Take a look at Apistogramas. They are beautiful little fish, and possible to breed in captivity. They cost $$ though, but worth the investment IMO. You should probably order online, since you can't guarantee the quality of stock bought at LFS.
