Can I make my old 30 Gallon aquarium ready for fish in one night?

It's in the basement and 5 months ago it was inuse then I took it apart and its in basement totally dry.

I have a running canister filter so if I transfer half of the material containing the beneficial becteraj to new filter I will be running on 30 Gallon from my existing will it be OK to put some fish in ?

Normally I won't do this but due to an urgency I need to put this 30 Gallon in use.

Please advise ?

Thanks

You should be able to do that with no problems, just keep an eye on the water parameters for a week or so. This is assuming the new tank won't be over stocked.

Make sure you have water conditioner such as prime on hand just in case you test parameters, and your nitrite or ammonia spikes.

Should be ok but for extra safe I would buy a small bottle BB and dose it.
I recently took some of Bio Media from my big tank and load it in filter for a brand new 20G and dose it with extra BB bottle, the tank instant cycled :)

you'll be fine, i'd put a few gallons of old tank water in the new tank as well, just to be safe.
