the single red belly is fine in the 30 gallon for a little while
i would suggest getting a better filter for even that single one
now when it comes to upgrading and getting more
the smallest tank i would get would be a 55g
and that could hold 3 in theyre for most of theyre life
a 75g being all of theyre life

a 55 gallon has the same footprint as a 40 gallon long excepet that the height is about 3 more inches. so do you think it would live most of there lives in it??

a 55g is longer than a 40
not higher at all

40 long is the same as 50 high but not as a 55 gallon tank..

40 is 36 x 18 x 13

50tall is 36 x 18 x 17

55 48 x 12½ x 21

$0 sounds goofd for another one but for two more get a 75 gal

yep, 40 longs are 48" long, i've seen quite a few iron dual tank stands with a 55 on the top and a 40 long on the bottom
