30 gallon stocking suggestions.

I have an empty 30 gallon bowfront aquarium (24x13x21) and I'm not too sure what to stock it with. I'm open to all suggestions.

Maybe consider a native community: shiners, dace, darters, etc. not sure what species are in Ontario but I'm sure there's a few.

why not do 6 males 6 females of Black ruby barbs, the males are gorgeous when sparring.

I'm definitely going to consider them. Do you think I could do a planted tank with 10+ neon tetras and maybe 1-2 discus? Or would the discus get too big?

Discus would get too big. The black ruby barbs sure are stunning! Maybe some whiptails for the bottom?
