Hi everyone,
I have an empty 30 gallon tank (100x30x40cm) and i would dedicate this tank to a single cichlid or predator fish..which species can i house in this aquarium?
thank you in advance!

I agree with Tom on size, in fact I'm usually more conservative, so I consider 10 gallons per inch of adult fish (like cichlids), so a 30 gallon, no more than a 3" fish or 2, especially those high, thick bodied Amatitlania species like sajica, or cutteri.
To me fish this size, don't belong in puddles.
Sajica below about 7" and 5" tall

Cutteri below, even larger and thicker

to me even a 55 gal is too small for these.

For a single predator in a tank that size, I'd do one of the smaller crenicichla (pike cichlids) like regani.

Belonesox belizanus.
Females can grow to 8 inches, but 6 are more common.
Males are just 4 inches long.
They are not very active so one foot depth should be ok.

Thank you for the advice , i will look for more informations about this species!
Is the tank too small even for species like Andinoacara rivulatus?

If you'd like something similar to rivulatus, there are others of the smaller Andinoacara that would work as a solo in that size tank.
Andinoacara biseriatus, blombergi, maybe a solo pulcher, or coeruleopunctatus.
And along with one of those, maybe some dithers, although I doubt that another cichlid would be tolerated.
Here is coeruleopunctatus.
