Power just kicked on in my 100gal aquarium, Fx5 running again after 30 hours out. All my silver sharks, clown loaches, syno cat and plec survived! :headbang2

Good to hear your fish stuck it out. Like steveothery said, a generator would come in handy for times and situations like those. Battery operated airpumps will go along way also, if you don't already have any.

happy to hear it... thats great news:headbang2

Yeh i'm pleased! Any idea how long this situation is dangerous without any filter? Ie did alot of bacteria die in my filter do you think? Everyone looks fine in the tank just now its been back on for a few hours.

This is an excellent article by ChilleRelleno on what to do to survive a power outage.

If you lose beneficial bacteria, your tank will go into a mini-cycle. I test the water for ammonia after a power outage and will do water changes if there is any ammonia present. I closely monitor the water parameters for a few days to make sure the mini-cycle is over.
