30 years ago today . . .

Today is our 30th anniversary. Also the County Fair is in full swing.
30 years ago we went to the fair as well.

We had the honeymoon 13 years before being married, on Oct 10, so we celebrate that, and the official wedding anniversary in March. If we were smart we could have arranged to be married on Oct 10 to save confusion, but we actually got married on the occasion where we wanted to buy our second house together.

So we get two celebrations.

We're going out for dinner tonight, and tomorrow it's the Fresno County Fair.

Once again I expect to see a world class show of produce and livestock. Fresno County was the nations largest ag county again this year.

Some other fair posted up a photo of a respectable 2900 lb pumpkin, so I expect to see one around 3000 lb here.

That's awesome Ulu, congratulations to you and wife! That's quite an accomplishment.

And very envious, I've been living overseas so long I'd absolutely love to go to a good ol' American style state fair.

Blimey, your missus has actually tolerated you for 30 years!! Getting to know you a little on here i'd say she deserves a medal!

Seriously though, congrats to the pair of you. Have a nice meal and for crying out loud when you go to the fair behave yourself!

I was previously married for 12 years, to a woman who gave me two children and a hard time about everything in life that didn't agree.
We actually got divorced and re-married for two years. It's been so long I almost forgot about that.

There is a nice aquarium at the fairgrounds. It's a permanent exhibit, and I will not miss it.
