300 filtration

I'm running a wet dry with a mag 12 and 2 ac 500's hanging. some have said i need more turnover. i know once my stock increases i will, but i don't think my overflows will handle a mag 24, should i add canisters?

stock now is
18" siver aro
5" gt
3" gt
2x 10" oscars
13" lima shovelnose

got a jardini and a giant gourami growing out. dunno if i will ever put the gourami in this tank though.

How big are your drain lines?

4x the display tank is my desired turnover rate for fresh water.

And, your Mag 12 problably is only running 950 GPH with 6' of head pressure. Which is ovbiously not 4x the desired 300 gallons.

check your levels if they are stable and your tank has enough oxygen turn over does not really matter.
