300 Gal Asian Setup

Thoughts on this stocking in a 300 gal circular tank?-

Giant Gourami
Clown/Royal Knifefish
6 Bala sharks
6 Tinfoil Barbs

Personally i'd pass on the clown knife. Even the rest in a 300g, in time, will give you a run for your money water change wise. Tinfoils, balas and GG's are favorites of mine, should look great. Hopefully you'll get a placid GG who doesn't mind sharing. There are a lot of stories of GG's who can be very aggressive. Mine is great with his tankmates. Good luck.

Sounds like a really fun tank. I like the idea of just one of the larger fish, probably the gourami.

I think you'll find the giant gourami a surprisingly predatory fish, and like esoxlucius said they can be downright aggressive and territorial. They have real personality too.

I think long term just one of the larger fish will make for a more sustainable tank. Is this an acrylic circular tank or is it a plastic stock tank type setup?

Plastic stock tank
