300 gal Filtration

That's the sump I use on my 180. For a tank that large you can either connect 2 commercially made sumps, or custom make one large one out of a 75+ gal aquarium.

Make your own great stuff in the diy section, I made my own wet dry with a plastic 3 drawer chest holds 5 gallon bucket full if bio balls still had space for more and I have 12L of bio rings under it and I have the heater in the sump (rubbermaid container) flows about 1000 gph (probably a little less but this is what the pump is rated for). In conjunction with this I have a fluval 405, ac110, and a emperor 400 for mechanical all on a 125 gallon definately overkill but it works flawlessly. I plan on making a larger one for my 265 gallon aquarium these diy filters work better and are cheaper to make than any filter you can buy IMO.

pick up a used 100g and use that as a sump

Im setting a 360gal up with a 125gal diy wet/dry. It all depends on the load in the tank
