I'm looking to buy a 300 gallon from a lfs 96x24x31 and upon further inspection of the tank I noticed there was a chip on the top corner. I do not have experience with acrylic so the question I have is. Is thing something I should be worried about long term and will this hurt the tank structurally. Acrylic tanks are tough to find where I am so I'd like to buy this but also don't want 300 gallons on my floor one day. Any advice would be appreciated.

It looks to be on the top pane....I don't think it would be an issue

its acrylic...so theres no silicon its welded together with a solvent cement, which makes it solid like its all one piece. Its a small chip in a corner and not coming across a seam, so I think it would be fine.

Its garbage. Ship it to me and I will dispose of it properly;)
