300 GALLON, HOW MANY GPH IS RECOMMENDED.

I recently took down my 200 gallon acrylic and sold it to my neighbor. i was using a magdrive 18 + 60 gallon sump as filtration. How many gph pump is recommended for a 300gallon. Please help me fellow MFKers.

I would use a 1800 GPH pump giving you a turn over of about 6 which is best for sumps!

6-8 never hurts. I am with fishman on this one.

Depends on what type of fish you keep and the stocking levels. But most people shoot for about 5x.
