I just bought a established 300 gallon marine tank which was moved and set up and running Friday morning. I wasn't abled to save original water.
I just checked my ammonia levels and they were at .50. I added 6 capfuls of prime. I hoped this wouldn't of happened as I tried to retain my bacteria levels but the bios balls sat overnight in it's own water and I'm afraid the water temp dipped too low. Any advice as this is my first marine tank.
Stock levels are as follows:
1 Centropyge bicolor Common name: bicolor angel
2 yellow tangs
1 Two Barred Rabbitfish
1 turquose clown fish
3 Serpent Sea Star, Fancy Banded ( one of them lost a limb during the move)
1 7" tang
1 looks to me like a goatfish
pics are coming soon.
