Does anybody have proven plans for a tank around 300-350 gallons? By proven I mean the tank has been built from said plans and been up and running with no cracks, leaks, or malfunctions. I am looking into building a big tank vs buying one. I think it might be cheaper, or would it?

I considered making an acrylic tank, but I went with a 300 wide from glass cages. It was about $2k total, but that includes starphire glass, overflows and delivery costs right to my door. Heavy as hell, but I don't plan on moving it.
I don't think I would have peace of mind with a homemade acrylic tank that size in my living room, but I would try a wood tank if I had a basement.

Do your research. There are a lot of tank builds in this forum. Materials used will have a lot to do with your success. Check out YouTube there are lots of plans on there for building a plywood tanks.
