Hey guys ill be moving to a new house soon and was originally planning an outdoor Koi pond but then realized it would be much better if i buy a 300 gallon stock pond and get some large tropicals instead, the stock pond would go in my basement and i would make a diy filter out of a 55 gallon drum, for heating i was thinking of 3 500w heaters, and lighting would be some simple shop lights, what do you guys think? im in Massachusetts by the way and this is my first house and i dont know how cold the basement would get and if its even possible, i am going to selling all my tanks to get the money for this , as for stocking im not sure, an arowana but not sure if the tank would be big enough, any ideas feel free to chime in

so what do you guys thing, please add any feed back and if you guys think this is a good idea or not

do stingrays and polys!

Sting rays for sure but double up on your filter or do a K1 or K2 with great filter socks.................. and a dehumidifier too...........

or i could buy a 300 gallon pool so i can save money for a dehumidifier casue they cost alot more than i thought, any other ideas

what species of stingrays? and whats the dehumidifier do?

motoros or retics, if your willing to spend a good bit of money a henlei or pearl stingray would defenitely be a show stopper
