On here I will be giving updates on my large tank. It is somewhere from 250-300 gallons. (Please do not ruin the thread by debating size...) but I will be posting all the updates on it here.... It currently has my 20+ inch clown knife i raised from a 3 incher, a 10 or so inch tinfoil barb i also raised from a baby, a rescued 14 inch florida gar and a rescued 14 inch sun catfish and a large leporinus and a few others...

Multiply LxWxH in inches, then divide that number by 231 to get the correct gallons of your tank.

Example:
72x24x20 = 34,560 divided by 231 = 149.6 gallons.

No updates lately because i am having an insane algae problem. I keep lights on more then my other tanks cause once they go out things disappear... The knifefish killed my 7 inch oscar last time they were out for more then 4 hours... So that is most likely tge cause of algae but i do have lots of dark hiding areas within the tank to get away from the light... The water is also yellow and cloudy from the driftwood and medication for open wounds... It looks really crappy and a 70% water change takes me about 2 hours to drain and fill with my python setup system... But i will get pics soon... The tank will really kick off when my silver arowana is big enough for the tank... As soon as he hits 12+ inches he is in...

Just curious, why don't you want to know for sure the volume of your tank? Wouldn't it be better to know for sure you have a 300g instead of a 200g? **** it might be a 150g. Just post the dimensions.

I see people post craigslist ads all the time for 150 g tanks that are really 60g and they want major money for it too.

Because it always derails my thread and instead of updates it turns into arguments over size and the thread eventually gets closed. People say its a 250 and they also say its a 400 but trust me it is a 300 gallon. I calculated it.

Guess not posting the dimensions derails the thread too.. LOL

If you posted the dimensions there would be zero doubt about the size.. but whatevs
