Thinking about going from my 300 and building a 1" acrylic 96 x 31x48 but I hope it's not too high and doesn't bow at 48 and is it worth the hassle as I have a very nice 310 now I just want more larger fish aka peacock bass haha

1" isn't nearly thick enough for a 48" tall tank... the 96x31 footprint wouldn't be much bigger than a 300 either. I'd go with 96x48x31 instead

Yea that might be better and thanks for the heads up on the thickness ,,, I was thinking about getting it inside and could actually go that way and flip it to bring it in that is an option thanks !!

I could actually go longer but I was trying to save costs with 4x8 sheets being right at 450-500 each

Have you considered plywood? Using black acrylic for the back and side panels can also save money but anything longer than 8ft will cost twice as much

Yea thats an even better idea as black is a ton cheaper // that would work perfectly thanks again ... Just don't know if it's worth all the trouble because I already have a 310 but dang a 600 would let me have more fish ,,, iam toying around with just doing water changes very other 3 rd day and just getting more fish

It's also worth mentioning that for peacock bass, it would make a lot more sense to do something like 96x48x31 as opposed to 96x31x48.

Edit: Sorry, I should have read more thoroughly. Didn't realize KingofKings55 already suggested this.
