300 watt heater

I use hydor 300w. I use 2 in my 100g. Some will say that its overkill but I have a 55g sump and it gets cold in the winter by me. Bigalsonline about $20 and change a piece . I like them I have been using hydor for years with no problems.

Hands down best in tank heater is the Aqueon pro imho. Followed by the eheim jager

I keep 2 250w aqueon pros in my 125. They maintain 80F tank temp in a room that is 10-15deg colder than that no sweat. Also they've held up to the abuse from a jaguar & dovii cichlid if that tells you anything. I've used hydor, marineland, fluval, via aqua, & aqua top
 
On my 160g tank, i use 2 250w eheim jags (precise temp control after calibration). Temp's been very stable even when surrounding room temp is cooler than normal.
 
+1 on the aqueon pro's. These have become my favorites, they are black and blend in and are easy to adjust, I like the eheims but they are a pain to adjust short of using a controller.

I use Finnex titanium heaters frok Kens. I hate glass heaters.
