Hi all i have just started the build on a 3000ltr tank its my biggest build by far so im just looking for some help with water pump size. I hav a Max capacity 500L/min pump at the mo would this work or is it to big or to small. Any input would be great thanks:)

Is that 500L/min or 500L/hour? 500L/min is a huge pump and probably bigger than you need. 500L/hr would be too small...
 
500L a minute isn't too bad by the time it's got through all the pipework.

I have a similar size tank and i run 28000 litres an hour which is fine, it's split into two outputs and by the time it's gone up and through the bends it's not all that powerful.

I wouldn't want it blowing the pipe off the pump though, would be a messy game :(
