Hello all,

Would an Fx6 be sufficient filtration on a 300G. How many Ray per 300G BD? Thanks.

No it will not be enough IMO. U will need more filtration and If u use FX6s you will need to clean them often... also what's the footprint of the tank? 300 sounds small for long term but if it's a tall tank it probably won't be any good at all.

For my growout tank on 540L i use a 120L fludized sump two canisters and one 130L showerfilter filled with 70L biomedia. So no one fluval fx4/6 wont be enough.

Thank you for responding.

Also about how much % of water change? Also how often? I have to manually change, I dont have drip system.

Thank you for respoding.

Your welcome. Even if only have two smaller rays between 20 and 26cm wd and a big vieja maculicauda in that tank i change at least 70% water twice a week due to the rays wasteproduction and im feeding heavily twice a day for my rays to grow. So your best shot with a 300g tank is get it with and 100g sump and make it wet dry then fludized.

Where to buy those white media? For fluidized, I forgot what they were called. Thanks
