I set up my 300g (72"x30"x36") to look like a salt tank-- coral (fake) and white sand, but it's freshwater. I love the saltwater look but love the freshwater fish! Some current inhabitants are:

20" clown knife
11" red devil
7-8" green terror
10" Gar
12" ray
pair of tiger shovelnose (8" and 5")
6" black syno cat (not sure what kind)

Tanks is filtered by a large wet dry. I try to do 30% water changes every 10 days to 2 weeks. Lighting on top is very strong because tank is so deep (tall). As the shovelnose cats grow, I will need to remove some fake coral to give them space. (Eventually one of the tigers will probably need to go...) Appreciate any comments, good or bad. Thanks. GBG

Btw - your syno is prolly either a species of Megalechis (thoracata, picta) or one of the Hoplosternum species (littorale, magdalenae, punctatum), at lease based on body shape ;).

awesome fish and tank but instead of all the coral a big piece of driftwood look nice
