I was planning on having that center section completely removable. The tank is going to be filtered by a 90g sump and I wanted full access to it.

It doesn't look bad @ all, but you should checkout uaru joey's youtube vids on how he makes his.it was easy to follow & very adaptable. Heres the one I built for my 430 us gal aquarium using his design.

Looks good so far.

i dunno bout everyone else but i think you need more supports, a 300g tank on top of the tank your kids or yourself leans on the end and i can see them 4x4 buckle and the whole tank fall sideways...i would check out joeys videos on youtube like 808 mentioned

id feel safier with 2x4's on each side of the 4x4's bottom and a 2x4 frame around the bottom to help support any shifting form side to side is all....

DSCF0888.JPGDay 2: added extra support and flooring. also started boxing in the areas for storage and filtration. Center is holding a 90g diy wet/dry, mag 24 pump and a 75w UV light. Left side will have a 406 for mechanical filtration and the right side will be a 3 shelf storage unit. Also have sound dampening material to line the center section with and then the entire thing is getting wrapped in 3/4" ply
