300g tank set up

hi! everyone i am set up an 300g aro tank now. i used 100g sump.reeflo drat for return. and ehfimech/polyfiber for mechanical filter. i have about 40g bio ball/bio glass max for bio filter.and 15w uv. and i am going to used r.o.di water to fill up the tank. and 500w heater*2. i will have 5~6 arowana in tank. ......... is the set up good? or i need to do anything also? thanks

sounds like a good set-up you have their, id be careful about using R.O water, we had a member ( catfishguy) who lost some nice fish to R.O water.

R.O water is too pure to support any aquatic life, what you can do is add alittle mineral powder to it and some trace elements, i believe kent marine makes a product of this kind, might wanna look it up.
