Filters: Marineland c530, 2 Emperor 400s anything else i should look at?

Heaters? how many?

Im going for black sand substrate with malaysian drift wood pieces pots large round rocks.

I will be house large central/south american cichlids and a large catfish of somesort.

Any suggestions at what else i would need? I haven't had a tank this large before thank you , jordan

if your going for a diy tank you should also go for diy sump instead of those filters save more money and i would get 2 300 watt submersal heaters . gl on the build cant wait for progress pics

Yeah, a tank that large should be sumped. Especially if it's DIY from start to finish.

There are other ways to make up and prevent CO2 loss.

I would like to make a sump , but that means i would have to drill holes right? I would also like a quiet tank, i've heard some peoples sumps and i don't want that loud buzzing. Any diy sump suggestions where to look? Thank you very much for the replys
