I finally got the chance to set up my 300GL tank. I started it last Wednesday and the water is just about ready for my Tanganyika cichlids. This coming Wednesday I am going to start adding the fish :) Exiting time !!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post better pictures next week as well!! I already purchased 15 black widow Frontosa's and they are on hold for me. AND!! I am sure going to buy other Cichlids as well.

Looks like you have a nice set up here. 8 x 2 x 30? What are you using for a hanging light there. Is that sand going to mess up the fx6 motors. I all most all ways run bare bottom so just curious. I love the drift wood looks nice. You are more brave then me that is a lot of rock stacked on the left side. Is a nice looking frontosa as adults. I was just checking them out i have seen these before and did not know what kind they are should be a fun tank in a few years from now.

Hey guys sorry for the late update. Got busy with work and been working on a new product as well. This is how my 300GL looks now, water is super clean fish look healthy. The funny thing is I have over $1800 worth of cichlids in the tank but you cant tell......! lol! I cant wait till they grow!

hi Skillzizzo. I am using 7020 Lumes 8ft Vapor tight fixture it is 54 watts has 4 Fluorescent lamps IP65 Rated. As far as sand entering the FX6 filer? I never put the intake where the sand can get in easily. When it comes to rocks. I always push the rocks all the way down kinda shake a little so the rocks can settle on top of each outer.
7020 Lumens - 8 ft. LED Vapor Tight Fixture - 54 Watt - 5000 Kelvin
4 Lamp Fluorescent Equal - IP65 Rated - 120-277 Volt - PLT-90096
Beautiful tank! :hearts:
THANK YOU, TMS!!!
