hey guys i decided id build my first stand and save money and learn a few things in the process. Its thrown together from scrap 2x2's ive had laying around. My question is how should I support the front?
Pic 1: the way that I would really like to do it. It looks the best and id be able to slide a 10g tank under to quarantine feeders.
Pic 2: shows what would make sense could work but isnt quite ideal
Pic 3: shows the back supports as I would assume would be good even support all around.
thanks in advance for your advice guys!

Well you see picture one is going to be alright its just that the stress of the wood will still want to bend it a little bit in the middle but since you got the plywood there it will spread the stress out more evenly so it wont really bend. so i believe your fine with pic1

I think you need more support. Those side backets are not strong enough to hold up that weight. You are off to a good start. Here is a picture of my stand that I made for my 75 gallon aquarium.

30 gallons you are looking at 260 pounds complete. Skin the stand with 1/2" ply to make it look good, and you will be fine.
