The tank has been running for 16 months. It has custom biofilter at the back with 1Kg ceramic rings. There is 4000lt of water being circulated in the tank. I've added a lot of driftwood + claypots due to the weight & to create more hiding places.

The tank size is 1250L X 500W X 600H with a water depth of 500mm.
Species are 3x Placidochromis mbamba(Yellow & Blue head), 2x Clown Loach, +/-5 Labidochromis yellow, -/+5 Labidochromis caeruleus, 2x Electric Blue (Sciaenochromis fryeri), 1x Maylandia callainos(White), 1x M. (Pseudotropheus) greshakei & still adding more. I have lost some but you win some & you lose some. Thats the way life is. The tank is not yet complete. Will do regular updates as time goes on. I have just added an extra 700l powerhead with filter attachment for added filteration. The fish have started breeding. What do you think? Opinions would be appreciated.

I'm Gauteng in South Africa.

Looks cool, but I'd personally go with all lava rock as it just looks better. Weight? The rock displaces water so it doesn't "weigh" near as much under water.

They real do. Fish breeding. I have just bought new filter media that I'm going to use. I'm going to be using layers of fine & coarse matting & activated carbon for mechanical. I already have bio balls. Will keep you guys posted.
