I recently started a Tanganyikan community in a 330g (7ft x 30in x 30in). I originally debated putting my breeding group of seven moba in the tank but settled with the community. Let me know what you think about the stock list and going community over big moba tank. The moba are currently in a 125g. I kinda wonder about going moba and ruziba in the big tank, but i need to let the community develop more before I make any rash decisions. Anyhow it's still a work in progress.

330g Stock list:
Altolamprologus compressiceps "Fire Fin", Seven F1 2"+
Cyathopharynx furcifer Ruziba, F1 Trio
Cyprichromis leptosoma jumbo "Blue Orchid", Wild Trio
Julidochromis transcriptus, Five looks like two pairs
Ophthalmotilapia boops Kipili "Neon Streak", Ten F1
Paracyprichromis nigripinnis, 1 male : 3 females
& Bristlenose breeders

For size, the sponges are all hydro IVs and the heater tangle on the right are all 150w.

need to re decorate , setup zones for pairs & what they like to breed in etc.. Then you need a sand zone so the feather fins can make their sand pits etc.. The two type may not get along? I would maybe do 3 zones, one on each end & one in the middle & two open sand area on each size of the middle island?
Also maybe have some plants hanging down in the corners from the top so if the cyps reproduce the fry have refuge & may survive?

There are three zones right now and I am keeping an eye on battles between the two groups. For now the ruziba have a lot of size on the boops. One male boop is trying to take the far right, the middle section that has two sponges is occupied by a less aggressive boop male, and on the far left the male ruziba started on a pit. Going forward I will probably sell extra boop males to get one male boop and one male ruziba

One julie pair holds up in the middle right rockpile, one pair holds up in the large left rock pile. I might sell off one pair and the extra male.

The comps haven't shown any signs of pairing off.

Eventually the sponges will eventually all disappear when I get a sump running.

Really nice setup. Tang tanks rule. My 180 was a tang tank at one point

Very nice. Love the Comps too. Question for you, why is your tank not filled all the way to the top?

I don't have the overflow plumbed yet, once I plumb it and get a pump I'll have a sump and I'll fill it all the way. But for now, I don't want to get too close to the top edge of the over flow or holes in the back upper right corner.
