im wondering if it would be a good idea to keep like three florida gars w like 20 or so firemouths work? or would the gars eat them? the tank is 6 ft long 4 feet wide and 2 feet high
 
Gar might eat the FM's, depends on the gar.
 
gars and cichlids are not a good combo...and with that many fish in there the gars would surely eat some (if not eventually all) of the cichlids...if the cichlids were big enough to not be eaten, they would likely stress the gars...possibly to death--

okay, so about 4 florida gars would work good? also were is good places online to get them
 
I've found that in a large tank cichilds can make excellent tankmates for gar.
 
what??? are you serious, man that blows, haha maby ill resort to a pair of bass and some bluegills. Where are you from?
 
what? thats kinda dumb, maby ill keep some bass, do you know on the fish and game site where i can find the information on like laws and what i need to keep them?
