Hello,
I know a 35 gallon tank is in no way a monster tank. I want to do something neat for a 35 gallon. Keep in mind I am a student, so money is not unlimited here,lol.
It has a footprint of 36 inches long and 12 inches wide. Its also 18 inches tall I believe.
So I want to do something with it.

Anyway, if you have any thoughts let me know. Don't care if its reptile, amphibian or fish frankly. Would like to hear as many ideas as possible.

Thanks

No thoughts from anyone?
I will help a bit. I am not looking for a livebearer tank or tetra tank. I have given cichlids a thought, but can't find any in the area that will be happy in there and something I like.
I have no problem doing a solo fish tank either if there is anything you think would be happy in the 35. As for amphibians or reptiles......Not really sure on anything since the only thing really around here is white tree frogs...

Miniature monster tank options:

--->Breeding pair of Convict cichlids=$5-10/pair
--->brichardi Colony=$5-10
-->Heavily planted mini Puffer setup=$2-3 each, get 5-10 for a 35g

The fish here all cost under $10......The breeding setups will require you to place the fry in a seperate tank, maybe a 10g for up to a month a nd a half.......If you can have spare time to feed your fry a month, the turnouit will be educational and you will also be able to trade in some fry food.....The brichardi case is different....Brichardis live in clonies, the raise and live forever with their young, forming heirachies......As for the minin puffers, a heabily planted tank will be the best scenerio.....These fish are really small, so having a lot if plants will make fun searching for the little green boogers........
