35 gallon oscar food tank

I have a 35 gallon tank that I have laying around and would like to use it to house and breed either; Crawfish,Ghost shrimp, Goldfish, or some other feeder type minnow. I really enjoy watching my 2 oscars eat. Although I never give them feeders. I would like to breed something that will be disease free and fun to watch get devoured. Thanks!

How many should I get and how long will it take for them to breed. Do they need any kind of special care to get them to spawn?

convicts will practically breed in a toilet.
Just get a pair and you're good

Convicts will breed easily. They are aquatic rabbits. If you have a pair, you will have fry as soon as the pair is old enough. The old saying that convicts will breed in the bag on the way home from the fish store is not far removed from the truth.

I had a pair that produced roughly 20-30 fry. I set up a ten gal tank, moved the fry in, and two weeks later the parents were gaurding another clutch of eggs. It may have been coincidence, but I think this is pretty common.
