500 kuhli loaches!

On a serious note, you need to give us more information as to what type of fish you want to keep.

Well I was hoping for a semi aggressive community tank like maybe something along the lines of cichlids like electric Labrador cichlid? That's all I can think of but fish like those maybe?

35 isn't really a good size for cichlids but maybe you could try 5-6 yellow labs...

i like apistos maybe you could try some A. Cacatuoides (my favorite) or you could look for some other ones. A 35 seems like a good size tank for some dwarf cichlids

I can think of a million possibilities. No way in hell are Yellow labs 'semi-agressive' their frigen mbuna! I have a male that kills anything that gets in the tank! He has killed 5holding females. He litterally ripped out a frogs stomach from its body! Its intestins were floating at the top for a while.
You could do a low tech planted tank with german rams, angelfish/discus, dwarf gourami, killifish <--- schooling bettas!, dwarf shrimps, breed bristelnose very easy, oto catfish, cory catfish etc

Here's a great idea! If your up for the agression yellow labs and rainbowfish go along great! Then a few synodontis catfish, another type of mbuna and your set! Maybe clown loaches or something too.

Compared to other cichlids, yellow labs are the less aggressive ones...
