The largest I've had was a 14" pig I raised from 4", it was raised alone and a bit boring, it would take feeders from my fingers by just lightly grabbing hold and tugging until I let go, then it would shred it. It was fed a 6-8" sunfish every other day and occasional crayfish. Most I have kept in shoals and topped out around 9" in a 150g.
9-10" is the most youll get if you have a big enough tank. the best thing about rbps is their growth rate. i had 10 nickel sized rbps in a 90 gal and they grew qiuck, when i say quick i mean 1/2"- 1 " a month depending on water quality, food and stress.
