you have to under its either more rare cichla while there still around or a bigger tank anyone can setup when ever. ill go for there rare cichla. :D

lol there is always ways to get rare cichla and honeslty cichla are no longer rare.. the ice has been broken and have been and will be imported regularly imo

I got in the game right at the tail end of rarity, it seems in the last 6 months there has been an explosion in Cichla popularity. Its good for those of us who enjoy keeping and watching these fish, bad for those looking to make a quick profit. The rarity of some of these species is what brought alot of people to the game. IMO the Cichla frenzy will peak in the next 8-12 months but within 2 years the frenzy will be over and some of these will become rarely imported again, or they will always be readily available and easy to obtain. Demand brings supply and supply lowers prices. Like I stated earlier, good for the true keeper, bad for the oportunistic. It does offer the merchant more versatility thus increasing sales. With some of these fish no longer being rare I think it will drive some of the hardcore keepers into other areas of fish keeping. I for one dont care either way. I keep Cichla because I enjoy watching them. The more of these currently rare species that hit the market betters my chances of actually getting some cheaper than I would have otherwise. In the end its not about the money, its about the passion. But its always good to get your passion as cheap as possible :naughty:
