Hey all, thinking of switching up my overflow setup and wanted to see what the the “BIG TANK” people are running.

Pictures if you got them.

maybe post a picture of your current situation,

is your tank glass / acyrlic?

you looking to add one vs install one?

The tank is acrylic, it’s 385 gallons and currently has 2 center overflows with two holes each. Has 2 one inch durso style drains and then two 3/4 lines that I was going to use as a drain for water changes.

The tank will house 4 rays and 2 irwini cats. I’m just seeing if anything else might be better. I really don’t wanna drill anymore holes and the previous owner drill the center holes too close so the overflows are stuck with those size bulkheads.

do you have a return rate / turnover your shooting for?

i must say, my little tanks have a 1/2 drain that takes out 50% water with valve turn or 150g’s in less than 10 minutes -

looks pretty good what you have ?

The sump is 130 gallons, one pump is rated at 3,600 GPH and the other is 800 GPH. The 3600 is running both corner returns and the 800 is running the middle return.
