Hello all, completely new to the site! Had a fish tank when I was a kid. 5 years ago started with a little 15 gallon aquarium had guppies, mollys, and bunch of what I call"happy fish" . Then got a 20 gallon octagon tank. But not to much longer bought a 39 gallon tank when I got my own house. But! Just still wasn't big enough for me and wanted to get away from all of the "happy fish" and stick to predator fish! What I always wanted! So I had a red tail, silver gar, barracuda, pink tail, and a largemouth bass all in that tank. They wer all small when I got all of them but of course they kept growing. Which I knew was only a madder of time. So I bought a 125 gallon. Leaked, resealed it and leaked again so I am done with that tank too! Just this week I came up with this project and built everything myself. Talked to some local aquatic stores in the area and got s bunch of ideas together and came up with this monstrosity(to me at least) somthing this big is all new to me it isn't going to be perminate situation but, it was what I could come up with on the cheap and what I had. So this is a 350 gallon drum that my work has. They come in 75 gallon to 500 gallon. So this one is old and outdated for what they use them for. Nothing was wrong with the tank just dusty from sitting around. My boss was looking at me like I was crazy when I was telling him my intentions with it. Hahaha so after talking with the local fish stores I set up and custom built my trickle filter set-up all on the low end. Minus the water, I probly have $300 total in cost for this build. In it is a red tail catfish and a largemouth bass. The bass chases my other fish to much for all of them to be in the same tank. So that's as far as I have gotten with everything so far.I will post more pics if anyone wants. So let me know how crazy I am haha thanksIMG_0713.JPGIMG_0723.JPG IMG_0723.JPGIMG_0727.JPG IMG_0728.JPGIMG_0732.JPG

Welcome to MFK. Cool idea, will make a great tank to grow out. Doesn't really make for great viewing though.
What was in the tanks before you got them?

Thank you! Ya I know I wish that they were clear but it is what it is now. Eventually I plan on making a good size tank but plan on moving soon so they can grow out in this thing for now. Nothing was in the tank prior, it is bran new
