Anyone own this filter? If you have did you have a problem with micro bubbles because mine just won't stop blowing them. should I cut the hoses a little shorter? Should I burp the cap? What's the best way to fix this problem. Thanks

Micro bubbles are usually caused by an air bubble trapped somewhere...search your hoses if you have a drip loop or where the hoses connect to the canister itself...i used to have that problem but only when using the micron filter...it got so annoying i just never used the micron anymore...oh also, if you dont have the top lined up correctly, itll suck air and cause micro bubbles...its annoying but once ya get it right, leave it alone lol

If you let the system purge the air on it's own, it can take weeks. Mine ran 17 days before clearing up. Nothing is harmed though so it doesn't really bother me. You can always try tilting the canister up in the corner where the 'out' hose is to try tricking the air into leaving. That's worked for me before also. Leaks are quite possible (as mentioned) but I haven't had that issue. Properly set up and lubed seals = no leaks.

The biggest thing I have noticed is to make sure you have all your seal in the canister and the large thin ring around for proper sealing. If they is no air geting in then the canister shoul purge itself within a few seconds. Also though this may sound dumb or not be the case, if the suction tube is located in the path of you airstones or bubbles in the tank move the tube out of the path.

So if I leave it alone it will stop eventually? But does it affect anything at all filtratrion, fish, parameters, this is my first canister so I don't know much about them yet.

It should fix itself if there arent any leaks. It will not affect anything except an unmeasureable amount of flow (basically none) and a tiny bit of noise.

I say let it ride for a while. You'd be surprised how much air can get stuck in that foam sleeve.

with the magnums thought, if its suckin air, the water level in the canister will drop and youll have to fill it up and start it again...i loved mine but it can be quite a pain to get right
