Hi y'all. I started construction on my new home 3 weeks ago, and i would like your comments on my filtration system. The pond is about 35000 gallons and it'll be split in 2, with half of it outside, and half of it in the greenhouse. Both of the ponds are connected by a 4 foot wide, 4 foot deep tunnel. Another underground tunnel links the outdoor pond to my indoor filtration room. This tunnel is filled with lava rock, and the indoor filter is a 1000g tub filled with lava rock.
So, water is circulated from the indoor poond to the outdoor pond to the filter and then back to the indoor pond.
Will there be any beneficial bacteria die-off caused by water going indoor-outdoor-indoor.............?
And how large of a pump do you recommend for my pond?
lastly; mods, please dont move this to the pond forum. the people there are really slow at answering.
The pics are of my progrees so far; the black spaces are there because i had to blank out my neighbors homes.
