It’s been a while since I had a tank. My last aquarium was about 10 gallons larger. I finally broke down and bought 2 young cichlids - both about 2 inches long. Ironically, Jack, this time is afraid of Tex.
They fought the first day. Both had bruises on their mouths. Now they are doing fine, but I’m a bit surprised that Jack is hiding and running away from Tex.
Did I make a bad decision on this?
Years ago, they both survived 10 years together and grew to: Jack being about 7 inches, and Tex being about 5 inches.

      Any suggestions would be appreciated.
