I may be getting a 360 Gallon tank with a 125 gallon sump. I wanted to put it in my living room which is over a bedroom. What is best way to support floor if I can’t use floor jacks due to bedroom underneath.

i read somewhere that I can secure the floor using hopes and dreams but I cant figure out how to use either. ?
Too much weight for a second floor, you’d need to tear down the drywall off and support the hell out of it with 2x4s and add more floor joists. And then below that floor if there’s a basement.
Not worth the risk or the work to support the floor. We are talking almost 4 thousand pounds just for the water.
that’s what I figured. Right now I am wanting to put a single umbee in a 6ft 180. But was gonna upgrade to give him more room when he gets bigger.
Don't see a lot of tanks that size on upper levels. That's about the weight of a midsize car when full. Any attempt to do it would involve some extensive, expensive augmentation to the floor. I personally think 150-250 gallons is the largest you could typically have on upper levels, bigger than that best kept on ground level.
