like the title says 360 gallon tank 8 foot long, 3 foot high, and 2 foot wide. the tank is leaking but I have the part to fix it now just need the glue. 550.00 as a leaker 600.00 if you want me to fix it. look at pic below. any questions or if you want to come out and see it feel free to ask. I'm located between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine. you'll need to bring a pick up truck or a van to move this it's heavy 1 inch thick acrylic..

Where is it leaking? A seam or is there a crack/chip somewhere on the tank? Might want to elaborate a little more for potential buyers.

thanks for the tip.

it's leaking in the back right hand corner where all 3 pieces meet (back, bottom and right side). it's a small-slow leak. but i didn't want it to get any worse. the main problem I had with trying to fix it was someone before me glued in a piece of square stock 3/8 or 1/2 i can't remember so I was like how do I fix this. then I found an acrylic guy who made me some L-shape pieces out of acrylic (1-inch). he told me put the tank on it's side and lean it back. Use weld-on 40 glue and mix it together really good and pour it into that corner and put these L-shape pieces there and it will go right over that old piece of stock and will never come out and it should fix that leak no problem.. so I paid a pretty penny to get those pieces machined I'll put a pic of them and of the tank corner so you can get a visual of what I'm talking about.

the main reason why I'm getting rid of this tank is I'm going to small tanks. Lots of them. and where the tank is now I need that spot in the garage and there's really no where else to put this big tank.

ok here are some of the pics i just took to try to show everyone what I was trying to explain in my last post.

pic 1 below is the tank if you look you can see the 3/8 or 1/2 inch piece running down the entire corner.

pic 2 is a top view of that corner

pic 3 is one of the 3 pieces i had made to fix the corner

last pic is to show you how it will look when it's glued in.

the glue is thick so you pour it in slowly and carefully not to make a big mess and then you drop these L shape rods in there and it should have a great and strong bond. probably better than the original corner. and the leak should be gone forever...

Is the tank glued together or silconed? I'm not to far away and having been looking into getting a large tank lately. Anyways, if it is silconed or elastic type bonding then I could cut it away and reseam it instead of adding a piece maybe.
Thanks

so it probably cannot be cut apart once welded together I'm assuming? I actually wanted the plexi more then anything but reconfigure it.

yes you can't silicone plex. it is glued and i think from moving it it just weakened that one corner and it took like almost 8 months after the move to start leaking. but once it did I just said hell with it and drained it and it's been sitting empty for a year now. I mean if you want to come out here and take a look at it your more than welcome to. if you want me to take more pics of the tank in certain areas I can do that as well. let me know..

I haven't had any experience with acyrlic, I may have to do some research to see if their is anyway to seperate the bonds that have been made, but since acyrlic to acyrlic to termed as welding-I'm guessing not. Would make an awesome discus tank for someone.
