Thats not super big...if you have a lot of fish already maybe you dont need to stock it anymore.

and whats up with you today fleshy your normaly quite helpful
Nothing is up with fleshy, and I dont think it was a stupid reply. Saltwater is much less forgiving of the bioload laws then freshwater is.

A high water flow from a pump meant for a 200g tank just means that you are going to have a high flow rate in the tank, which can be just as bad as not enough.

Overstocking may also lead to agression problems. Just because a goby may not bother any other fish in a normal situation, doesnt mean he wont go after his own in a smaller aqaurium or become irritable and go after another fish. Gobies and Blennys can actually be territorial, and the same can be said of other fish as well.

There is very much a sweet spot for all things in saltwater, and deviating from them only means your are setting yourself up for trouble. This doesnt mean that all the old rules are 100% tried and true, but as far as stocking goes, I would take a conservative aproach. That way, your fish are healthy and happy and you dont have to worry about fish loss.

Just my two cents.

fleshy tells me my aquarium isnt super big wen i didnt say it was and he says if youve got so many fish why dont you not stock it how isnt this a stupid post i wouldnt have took the aquarium if i wasnt going to stock it and for your post i didnt just say the pump was rated for a 200g i sed the filter was rated for a 200g more filterasion more space for bioload the more filterasion you have the more bioload it can handle i allso no that overstocking can lead to aggressiveness in the aquarium but if theres plenty of hiding places it should be fine and who doesnt no that gobies and blennies can be aggressive so your suggesting sticking to the 1" per gallon rule thats a load of cr*p you caunt keep a 40" fish in a 40g aquarium and it seems to me that people on here arent so critisising wen it comes to people overstocking a 500g aquarium all i asked was what people would stock it with if it was there aquarium :banhim:

Fine, I am done with you.

No one was criticizing you, we were offering up our advice and experience.

And where did I say one inch per gallon rule? WHERE? I don't even buy into the crap for freshwater tanks.

As far as the filter goes... how the hell am I supposed to know what you meant? You said it was meant for up to a 200 gallons, so I made an assumption. If you want better answers, don't be so damn ambiguous and post real numbers like the nominal flow rate at your head (height from sump).

While you're at, make a decent attempt at using proper grammar and spelling, that will likely help with getting a good answer as well.
